We therefore also always strive for an inclusive workforce. Diversity and inclusion are woven into all organisational levels. Every colleague contributes to our mission.
Sustainability
Sustainability is an increasingly important topic in society, and therefore also at VCS. It is therefore an integral part of our strategy. For instance, we are working on circularity, reducing our CO₂ emissions and our energy consumption. We bring this to the attention of our colleagues, suppliers and customers.
The policy is part of our ISO 9001 certification. We make our CO₂ emissions transparent with a footprint. We evaluate our consumption annually and exploit opportunities for improvement.
Electric fleet
Our fleet is almost entirely electric. This contributes to our sustainability goals. Our employees drive around emission-free. Our mechanics drive around in a Volkswagen ID. Buzz Cargo and Musoshi-company service vehicles. These service vehicles are suitable for narrow streets and alleys. This is where our employees come into frequent contact, for instance when they clean and check cameras.
Valuable raw materials
We also take sustainability into account when supplying our cameras. We only supply cameras from manufacturers that provide spare parts for repairs, even far beyond the production date. We focus on long life spans through preventive maintenance and repairs. We carry out checks and minor repairs on site, in our preparation room.
We also apply as few components as possible in a system. For example, by deploying high-resolution cameras. As a result, fewer cameras are needed. This saves materials. Hardware that we no longer use is dismantled. We then examine which components we can use. For urgent projects, for instance.
