The popularity of green power is increasing. To generate this energy, more and more solar parks are being built in the Netherlands. According to the Land Registry, the Netherlands will have as many as 562 solar parks by the end of 2022. And there are more and more of them. This popularity brings a new challenge, the security of these parks. VCS Observation provides the right security.<\/h5>\n

Land Registry analyses shows that the province of Gelderland owns the most solar parks, 89 to be exact. Followed by the province of Overijssel with 62. However, these two provinces do not have the most surface areas. In fact, this is the case in the provinces of Groningen (633 hectares) and Drenthe (518 hectares). Of the total 562, 247 solar parks are located along (highways) and\/or railroads. This makes them visible to many people from cars, for example.<\/p>\n

Victim of copper thieves<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Even though many solar parks are visible from cars or trains, they are often remote locations. Not many people directly approach them and there is little surveillance. This makes a solar farm an attractive target for thieves. Especially for copper thieves.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

In fact, there are often a lot of valuables on the property as well. Not only the solar panels, but especially the copper cables are of interest to thieves. Criminals forcefully pull these cables out of the ground, out of solar panels and out of inverters. As a result, installations sometimes lie idle for months and no power is generated. With all the (financial) consequences.<\/p>\n

Compulsory insurance
\n<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The growing number of copper thefts has not escaped the notice of insurers either. They are increasingly requiring camera surveillance of solar farms. The new policy terms take effect from the next expiration date.<\/p>\n

Camera surveillance<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Plenty of reasons to add extra security to your solar farm. Our security cameras are of high quality and offer 24\/7 surveillance. They can be set up in various ways. For example, you can demarcate areas within which people are allowed to enter. Does the camera detect someone in a place where they are not allowed?
